EXPANDED PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE

Since 1971 to present

I have worked professionally as a photographer part-time for the past seven years and previously was an amateur – hobby photographer since 1971 at which time I worked in a camera store in Lincoln, Nebraska as assistant manager and assistant buyer. I photographed my sister’s wedding at 19 years of age. Photos she has on her wall to this day. When I started taking photography classes at George Mason University it was a quick and easy move to teacher assistant with my experience. A position I enjoyed till my last class and even past that for a semester. I used to love to work with Black & White when I had access to a dark room. The control over developing and printing my own film was great. At home I have a studio, White-Lightning studio strobes, umbrellas, soft boxes, backdrops, gels, and all the little extras I need to turn out quality work from portraits, to products, to fine art still lifes. I use mostly Nikon equipment because of the quality of the equipment and the optics.

EXPANDED COMPUTER EXPERIENCE

I have worked with most types of hardware on the PC side and some MAC and a little UNIX. When at the University of Nebraska I built my own servers from the motherboard up. At Lucent Technologies we purchased Compaq servers.  I have worked with Windows since version 2 up to and including some XP SP2.  I have now and have built and maintained graphic design pcs. For software I have worked with multiple databases; relational and flat, Office, Works, accounting software, spreadsheets, data processors and multiple graphics applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
